Track Beauty of the Week: Kseniya Vdovina Ксения Олеговна Вдовина

Kseniya Vdovina Ксения Олеговна Вдовина is this week’s track beauty!

The Russian is an experienced relay campaigner. She has a personal best of 50.67s in the 400m dash, making her an ideal peg in the formidable Russian 4x400m relay teams. At the early parts of her career, Vdovina focused on the shorter sprints, reaching the 200m semifinals of the 2006 World Junior Championships in Beijing.

She was part of the victorious Russian relay quartet at the 2009  European U23 Championships. The following year, Vdovina attained her first ever selection to a major championship, the World Indoor Championships in Doha.

However, the Russian ladies failed to replicate their long string of victories in the event, falling to the inspired performance of the American squad.

In 2011, Vdovina added a European Indoor title and a World Championship bronze medal to her growing collection of relay medals.
