The Slovenian sprinter is mainstay in her nation’s sprinting lineups. Better known as a 200m specialist, Veit has a personal best of 22.74s (2008) in the half-lap sprint. She also have notable bests of 11.83s (2007) and 53.68s (2008) in the 100m and 400m.

Veit’s most successful year to date was the 2007-2008 season. In 2008, she lowered her 200m dash personal best from 23.96s to 22.74s – a massive improvement in a short span of time. Also in the same year, she was part of a relay quartet which set a Slovenian record in the 4x400m.

The Slovenian is an experienced international campaigner, having competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2009 Berlin World Championships in her pet event, the 200m dash. Veit, unfortunately, did not progress beyond the qualifying heats. At the 2010 European Championships, Veit was part of the Merlene Ottey-led Slovenian 4x100m relay team.

Even if she has yet to reach the top 8 of a major continental or international event, Veit has had some success in regional competition. In 2009, she snatched the Mediterranean Games 200m silver, clocking a then season’s best of 23.45s.
