Lavillenie vaults over rugby crossbar!

In one particular IAAF interview, pole vault champion Steve Hooker referred to his French arch rival Renaud Lavillenie as someone who “has a touch of madness about him.” According to Hooker, “I find his way of jumping a bit crazy.”

In order to promote the sport of athletics, Lavillenie lived up to his “daredevil” billing by vaulting over a rugby crossbar (3.05m high) during the halftime break of an actual French league rugby game – without a planting box and a landing mat!

This is what we need in RP. PATAFA should hire a marketing man to promote our sports!

Coach Emer Obiena had done something similar (but not as reckless!) a few years back. They held an indoor pole vault competition in Mall of Asia.

We could emulate the Brits’ Great City Games. http://www.greatcitygames.org/Events/Great-Manchester-150/EventInformation.aspx

Galing nito. It has long runs and street track races.
